Starting March 23rd, the Berlin "Through My Lens” Exhibition, a traveling collection of Berlin-themed Kolo books, will be on display in three of Frankfurt, Germany’s finest specialty shops. A free self-guided walking tour will allow everyone to visit each location to see the unique interpretations of Berlin by members of Berlin's creative community.
In November 2009, the Berlin "Through My Lens” Exhibition celebrated the creative community by inviting fine artists, writers, poets and photographers to exhibit their Kolo books loaded with their view or image of Berlin, whether it be words, photographs, sketches or other artwork.
The opening reception Wednesday, March 24th, will be hosted by Frankfurt’s premier bookstore Hugendubel, Steinweg 12, Frankfurt am Main. All are invited to attend to view the Berlin-themed Kolo books and socialize over food and drink. Also, illustrator Ina Reimer will be demonstrating techniques using Kolo books.
The exhibition will be on display in Frankfurt for four weeks at these fine retail shops: Galerie Hake, Leipziger Strabe 35; Hugendubel, Steinweg 12; and Schmidt’s Papeterie & Wohnaccessoirs, Schweizer Straße 67 (from April 3-April 24 due to a new store opening).
