Important Note

I couldn't imagine a nicer album, but be aware that if you want to add more pages to it, you need to get the extender posts so they'll fit.(sold here in accessories)

These are lovely, heirloom quality albums. They're certainly not the cheapest on the market (especially when I factor in the extra pages and the high-quality photo corners I prefer to use) but I can easily imagine my great-grandchildren flipping through these albums. My mom gave me one shortly after my son was born five years ago. Now the Kolo albums are an annual family tradition -- I make one each January with the photos from the year prior.
Here's why I've stuck with Kolo:
--High quality archival paper and nice, sturdy album construction
--Great colors (I really liked the blue and green stripe they carried a couple years ago, and hope they bring back a similar design)
--The blank pages make it easy to use photos of all sizes, and also incorporate little scrapbooking touches. Sometimes I'll add in ticket stubs, brochure covers, etc. It's a little bit of a production to get all the photos in using the photo corners, but I love the effect.

I buy both versions

  5 of 5 stars

I have been buying the classic Newport's 11 x 14's forever. I love them. They are such nice quality. I usually build them to hold 30 to 40 sheets. I recently tried the photo book version with the printed pages in your myKolo section. It is such a nice complement to the classic versions of the Newport since they match. So now my photo books match my Newport scrapbooks. It is a great system.

Good Album for Multiple Sized Prints

  5 of 5 stars

I have fallen in love the many new sizes of prints you can get printed now. I use small square photos a lot, larger 5 x 7s and the usual 4 x 6's. Occasionally 8 x 10's and even bigger. I find the 11 x 14 Newport to be the best choice. Love the post construction so I can pages or remove them later. Really great book and nice colors.
