Perfect Wedding Guestbook
I used this album as a guest book for my wedding. I displayed the invitation on the cover window. I mounted a different black and white picture of my husband and me on each page. Our guests signed around the pictures. There is plenty of room for guests to write an actual note instead of just signing their names. Our guests enjoyed flipping through our photos and writing their notes alongside a picture that was meaningful to them. The album is still beautiful 4 years later, and I have it displayed on a shelf in my home.
These are lovely, heirloom quality albums. They're certainly not the cheapest on the market (especially when I factor in the extra pages and the high-quality photo corners I prefer to use) but I can easily imagine my great-grandchildren flipping through these albums. My mom gave me one shortly after my son was born five years ago. Now the Kolo albums are an annual family tradition. I make one each January with the photos from the year prior. Here's why I've stuck with Kolo:
• High quality archival paper and nice, sturdy album construction
• Great colors (I really liked the blue and green stripe they carried a couple years ago, and hope they bring back a similar design)
• The blank pages make it easy to use photos of all sizes, and also incorporate little scrapbooking touches. Sometimes I'll add in ticket stubs, brochure covers, etc. It's a little bit of a production to get all the photos in using the photo corners, but I love the effect.
